I fully agree, the RX 7600 XT was a complete joke. Nvidia barely cares about the budget offerings either. I hope Intel brings something good to the table for people who want to spend $250-300 US max on their GPU.I want to see much better performance, prices the same but lower would be great and better RT performance. Most important of all at the very least is no more stupid-pricing like the original $1,200 4080. I would also like to see the entry level and lower midrange gamers better served as far as offerings and pricing before more of them give up and turn to consoles.

It's mainly "about time" type of upgrade. Especially considering the low cost of the implementation itself. Obviously not for cheapest ~150 costing monitors where every dollar in the BoM matters, but for 800+ costing monitors it really should be included.DP 2.1 UHBR20...what are the perks here? Haven't looked into it. I suspect its overkill for a 1440p/165hz/IPS?
Never mind what we want from this GPU's because its were are in production and is too late for companies to make changes. What improvements do you want the most from next generation Blackwell, RDNA4 and Battlemage GPU's?

W1zzard could make a front page poll with similar questions (but much better formatted than mine).
It would get way more votes. The DDR4 or DDR5 question has been up for a while now.
This poll is not for manufacturers and odds are that they would not listen anyway.Never mind what we want from this GPU's because its were are in production and is too late for companies to make changes.
Ps. If you really want things that you believe you can charge companies to deliver, you'll need to order them today, for generations that would be ready for market in, say, 2030 at the earliest.
I'll do just that.Yeah the front page polls get many thousands of votes. Send him a PM if you want. Can't hurt to ask. He's on vacation right now though so maybe when he gets back.

In terms of real need for DP 2.1 UHBR20 that would be when we get 1440p 600Hz and 4K 360Hz monitors. They're close. Possibly next year as we currently have 480Hz 1440p and 240Hz 4K.

I've been using 1440p 165Hz for 8 years now. 2080 Ti here. I wont even consider a new monitor or a GPU that does not have DP 2.1Blimey those are some pretty intense performance targets - not my cup of tea. I'm gonna be riding 1440p/165 for a few more years for 2.1 to be a concern.
I use both a 1080 TI and RTX 3080 with multi-monitor setups. Haven't experienced any problems. Maybe these reports are linked to multiple higher refresh rate panels whereas i use one and the other 2 are 60hz.
Asking what buyers want is never an irrelevant question. Even if it does not directly influence the corporations themselves it's still a useful metric see see what people what. My point is that i have a feeling that most people want performance we already have, but for lower prices. Not higher performance at even higher prices.I feel like this is mostly an irrelevant question. At this point it's about what Nvidia wants to give you. You all are just strapped in for the ride at this point.
