Ever since my Playstations started passing away one after the other I figured I should make an effort to collect the emulators. I still have stacks of original discs, (I use the DVD boxes now to put my speakers on, custom height speaker stands ftw!) just no working console to put them in... the PS3 library is going to go the same way in due time, just not yet, it ain't 'vintage' enough yet

Even have five different original dualshock controllers to go with that, but only the sixaxis and more recent ones go across USB.

They have started to release some stuff on new consoles and so on, but IMO Nintendo and Sega should just release their entire NES/SNES/Master System/Mega Drive (Genesis for the barbarians) catalog on like Steam (and other places) for like €5 a pop and just watch the billions roll in. Or they should make decent emulators themselves and sell the games legally themselves, but that is a hassle.

Nice. I had a huge collection myself, but I started down sizing.

Only consoles I have left are my Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, two PS2s(Fat and Slim), and two PS3s(Fat and Slim).
Did have a Xbox and Xbox 360, but got rid of them. Still have my handhelds from my first one. GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advance, Nintendo DS Lite, and 3DS.
Though, about to get rid of the GameBoy Color and the Advance with their games, plus one of my PS2s and PS3s. I just don't game a whole lot any more. Think I burnt myself out plus most current games don't interest me much. Might change when certain PS4 games get release.

Has been done before, I'm pretty sure someone will come up with a way to install more games. I just wonder if Nintendo took precautions against this (like embedding copy protection in the emulator and having signed ROMs) but if they didn't then it's going to be a field day for modders.
