Norton Internet Security 2006: Piece of s**t. Beyond that though, I'm wondering if anyone would be able to help me. I'm trying to install it on a family member's pc, they went ahead and bought it without first consulting me... otherwise I wouldn't have touched it... but since they paid XXX.XX amount of dollars for it, I might as well try to get it to work.... maybe... kinda... we'll see.
I keep getting the error 9999,171 - supposedly that means some service inst running in windows that should be. I have checked the solution to this problem and its not helped me at all. At the same time, I was to wipe my cousin's laptop (thats the family member) - and I've wiped and reinstalled windows 3 times, and tried to install NIS 06 multiple times on each new windows install to get it to work.. same error message.
GNAR!
