No power but still works?

    i took off the power line that connects to the GPU and started the computer. it still works but a lil message from nvidia came up saying i have low power. will this damage the card?

    Will not damage the card.But as soon as u fire up some 3D hungry app say a game,Ur PC will hung up or crash.Why the hell you need to unplug it? It must be there for proper functionality of the card.

    Yes, you do ask many ummm...odd...questions...it's common sense that if the power plug is there and your PC tells you it's needed, why unplug?

    i wanted to see if it will work w/o the plug. thought that plug was for the fan. but the fan was running w/o the plug

    The plug is for extra power when the core REALLY kicks in.

    You do know without the fan your card would more than likely die because if the heat right?
