NO SIGNAL ON NEW GPU

just literally about to do the bios update right now. The suggestion didnt work. And have tried a different one sorry i forgot to mention that

Fingers crossed that the mobo update does it.

guys the bios update has successfully worked however… the no signal error is still showing up! im devastated no clue now to what it could be :(((

You said you tested the 2070 on 2 other systems and it came on? What were the specs of those other systems?

A clear cmos may help

Manually reducing the PCIe revision may help - but you have to get into BIOS first.

Forgot if you tried this, but have you run both at the same time? You would have to have two monitors.

Edit: only one PCIe x16 poses a slightly insurmountable difficulty to that second suggestion.

solution buy a b550 board
they are cheap
also avoid palit cards like the plauge they are generally crap
./thread

CoolerMaster the brand you trust: To turn your components to burnt electrical dust

literally confused no idea how one gpu works but the other doesnt lol.
Are you testing in a case or outside the case? Some cases have issues with some gpu's seating fully into the pcie slot... happens to me once in awhile depending on the circumstances.

pcie revision meaning like gen 2+3 in bios? which one is better? also there is x4 and x16 in bios what does that mean? lol sorry bit of a noob on this

Yes. Have heard tell of issues using a 4.0 GPU on a 3.0 slot and vice versa. Some B450 had 4.0, so manually setting 3.0 is probably a good idea.

x4 and x16 is the number of lanes allocated. It shouldn't make a difference.

Check your inputs on monitor, if it doesnt work sounds like the motherboard doesnt like that gpu.

the mobo i have is PCIE 3.0 and the gpu is too.. so it should be a perfect match no? maybe changing it to “gen 3 “ from “auto” could do something iguess… losing my head here feels like ive tried everything.. why would the mobo not like the gpu ffs ‍♂️

Yep, that's the fix I heard. B450 had some support for PCIe 4.0 but later BIOS locked it out.

Best to lock it to 3.0 and see if that fixes it.

is it the pcie gen speed? or which one theres quite a few options just dont know what to change and what not to change

Yes, that should be correct.
yeah tried that.. not done anything i think im either gonna get a new mobo or sell the gpu and get something else not sure what gpu to get though thought RTXs are good so would need some advice in that

or advice in what mobo to get which suits all my parts

And grab a RX 6650XT, 6700XT, 6800 and call it a day.

Hello guys, Update.

reinstalled to windows 10.

installed ddu and it says that the rtx 2070 driver is there detected ??

you sure the problem isn't the monitor?
is the monitor set to the right input?
