can anyone help.
the board is an MSI N1996. running a pentium 4, when i boot up the monitor won't come on. I have tried differant monitors and graphics card and am now at a loss. could this be the board as the onboard graphics is the same? any help if sorting this would be great. many thanks in advance. Mac:confused:

Make sure onboard graphics are NOT disabled. Check monitor, monitor connections. If it still don't work then it's probably bad mobo.

why not disabled if hes running a agp/pcie card he wants onboard disabled?

is it a new build or has this problem just started happening, what graphics card have you got

It's an older board designed for OEM's(HP,Compaq,DELL), it if is disabled and its not working then enable it. If it's enabled and not working disable it. That mobo cannot support all GPU's. Mostly the onboard needs to be enabled in order for it to work with add on GPU.

Also reseting the CMOS might do the trick.
