I totally agree before I switched to Grizzly I used to cut up pieces of Blister Packs to make my own "spatulas" So there is another method to add to the "toolbox"
Credit cards work well for me.

My experience shows that if you get between 0.5-1mm of the paste sploodging out after you mount and tighten the coldplate, you've done a great job.

I always found them a bit too thick for good control

Well never trust protection you don't know where came from.

If it's from the bar with the lady or from the lady they can both been tapered with the protection.

The non-serrated sides of the condom wraps are also a good emergency 'measure'.

So you dem be ready for the extra thick (heat resistance up to 155 instead of the current 130 degrees Celsius), ultra lubricated (hydrophobic coating, even more easy to clean) and the dual-action vibrate (alarms you when leakage occurred) versions as well.

Well if it makes good enough contact with the IHS it should be able to bleed off some heat when you put a fan on it. /s

Hey now! My full nickel plated EK block with RGB is “great” the RGB is just the tiny logo in the corner. Trust me when I couldn’t remove it I almost just cut the wire…

when i get my zen4 i will do a 3D printed version and upload it for the world.

this is clearly a solution looking for a problem, cashing in on OCD people that will clearly will not be able to sleep knowing their paste will lodge in the cutouts where NO ONE CAN SEE THEM and where they POSE NO ISSUE (unless you use conductive paste and gobs of it)

Based on photos of poorly executed paste jobs, I'm guessing that people who aren't very dextrous will benefit from this tool. There are a few people on this site who might want to consider buying one of these.

This also might be handing for those who paste CPUs frequently. Freehanding the thermal paste takes a little more time.

Pastry chefs have similar templates for a variety of usages (tuiles, chocolate, etc.). While this can all be freehanded, if you have to do a lot, the time adds up. I've seen stencils in other crafts as well, this sort of thing has a long history.

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if something like this is being used on the assembly line by OEMs and system builders to speed up the process.

Um, it's the wipes that are wrapped to prevent them from drying out like single-use hand towelettes that some restaurants include with take-out orders.

The paste wipes have alcohol in them.

I've never visited SE Michigan, didn't know they were such a rarity there.

Yes thats a rarity in them.

There are alcohol cleaning wipes in your typical first aid kit. These are also packaged the same way, in individual wrapped single-use envelopes.

Again, not sure if SE Michigan has such things.

These towelettes are very common in some places like Japan. Pretty much any coffee shop or convenience store has them.

Hell, I've received a few cleaning wipes with m.2 SSD heatsinks or something.

Noctua often includes a few wipes in their retail boxed NT-H1 and NT-H2 thermal pastes.

Hmm... Well I've repasted about 8 times now in a week. Still no problems yet.
