does the 2900XT still have loud noise like the X850XT? does it improve of the noise? does it reduce the noise? less noise than X850XT? or louder? or same? I assume it improve the loudness since the cooler is different.

How bout the X1950XTX? is it louder than X850XT and 2900XT? or less noise?

Which of these cards have lesser noise?

- X850XT
- X1950XTX
- 2900XT

Hey bud I have an x1950xtx and it is definitely far less noisier than both of the other cards. x850xt can get pretty noisy, and the 2900xt isn't as bad as everyone seems to think - but the x1950xtx is still the quitest at load.

I have an X800XT and an X1950XTX. The X1950XTX is quieter.

I have an x1950pro w/x2, pretty quiet at 100%, I have an AC cooler on an x850xt pe, so it's quiet, and I have stock cooling on an x1950xtx, and it's not bad up to about 63% for me. Beyond that, it does get noisy, but if you feel the exhaust vent, it moves some serious air considering. At 100% it's very loud, there is a lot of air noise too, due to a very healthy ammount of air movement.

In comparison to stock x850xt and x1950xt/x1900xt(x) cooling, the x1950xtx cooler is quieter and more effective.

I have an X850XT. I hated the noise. I bought a Zalman VF-900Cu. That shut it up :).

I have a X1900 XTX in one comp and a X1950 XTX in the one next to it I don't hear any noise at all, well if I pay attention there is a low hum, but the only time I really know the hum is there is on shutdown., then it is perceptibly quieter, not much, but it is there..

My 2900XT is only loud at 100% where it sounds like a tornado in your case but it cools very good at that speed =P. It's definitely noticeable at around 60% which it kicks up to when playing any intensive game but if you have any sound on from the game it isn't really an issue. It's quiet at idle.
