Hopefully this means improved AIBs models that brings something good to the table, either cheaper or with tangible improvement like higher performance not the pathetic 50mhz.

With nVidia, FEs cards are great, AIBs could've made cheaper models with less complex cooler given the efficiency of 4xxx series yet they just create overpriced rubbish, some 4080s are nearly as expensive as the 4090.

I would think on launch of AIB we will see at least $150-$200 over reference MSRP. Probably greater for water cooled and water block units. This places those cards in the price range of 4080 reference.

AMD needs to perform. I have an unopened 4090 that I’m holding off on until I see reference performance for the 7900XTX. I’m not looking for a direct replacement for the 4090, but if I give up 5-10 FPS on average in 4K (rasterization) and save $700, I’m all in. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a 7950XTX, and a 7900XTXH prior to that.

Uhm... the 4090 sold out in hours at release, so how's that a "launch debacle"?

As far as the 4080 SKU, well, it's obvious that NVIDIA is testing the market right now and NVIDIA could easily adjust the 4080s price ~RDNA3 launch AFTER weeks at its regular MSRP price.

Uhm... The 7900XT is already masked and jacked-up!

$1k - 7900XTX = aka 6900XT initial MSRP.

$900 - 7900XT = 6800XT intial MSRP $650. That's an extra cool $250 masked in a new naming scheme.

So, the pressure is not on NVIDIA... but what about for AMD, though? :fear:
Imagine being cucked so hard you defend the most insulting GPU launch of the century. No surprise Nvidia gets away selling GPUs for 2500€, their customer base has static noise instead of thoughts.

Obvious fanboy is obvious, that's all you had to say.
Go buy a midrange GPU for 1500€, very informed customer and definitely not a brainlet fanboy.

After the debacle that was Nvidia's 4090 and 4080 launch, AMD need to deliver here! Show Nvidia that you don't need to charge so much to get top-tier performance.
These suckers above got triggered by this extremely simple statement of fact: just check any place outside of your rich kid echo chamber of fanboys and you'll notice that people aren't exactly happy of paying four times what GPUs used to cost; and no, marketing shenanigans don't magically erase the empirical fact that GPU prices have ballooned far far beyond any reasonable justification. In 2014 I could buy a 780 Ti for 650€, now for that amount I get a last gen midrange. :kookoo:
