first of all here seems too many problem but i think all of them is connected to one reason.

problem 1: (dirt 2)

There is many stuttering in the game. when i play it starts to stutter and immediately it gets very fast grapchis. afterthat again it starts to stutter and grapichs gets very fast. i tried to get a fps but i could not. I can not get a benchmark report on Dirt 2. I complete benchmark test in the game but ne result is shown.

problem 2:

the stuttering and getting fast is shown with almost all games. and in crysis(for example), there is no v sync enabling option in graphic options. so some tearings is shown during game.

problem 3:

low fps and performance. the computer systems that are very similar to my sistem gets better points from tests like 3dmark06 although i overclocked my sistem.

* all drivers of my hardwares is all updated. catalyst 10.1
* I do not even think that system is getting hot too much. all tempatures is all okay. fans works with their full speed.

my sistem:

ASUS P6T SE X58 Socket
Intel Core i7 920 @3.5GHz
OCZ 4GB (2*2) Kit Platinum Edition DDR3 1333MHz@1400MHz CL7
Sapphire HD5870 GDDR5 1GB 256Bit Mem900MHz@Core1300MHz
thermaltake 750w
coolermaster haf 922 midt

the fan speed of the vga is %100. first i suspect of getting very hot and i got fan speed %100 but no change

Thanks much !

Your card is overclocked. Do you get the same kind of behaviour on stock clocks (esp. memory)?

Try turning v-sync off? What res are you playing at?

Try FRAPS to get fps in Dirt 2. Ideally, log your framerates throughout the game.

Crysis is very demanding (yes, for HD5870 as well). What sort of framerates do you get (try benchmark tool). It's been some time since I played it, but I think Crysis dynamically loads textures, so there may be stuttering at times when - say - you turn the camera quickly.

problem 3:

low fps and performance. the computer systems that are very similar to my sistem gets better points from tests like 3dmark06 although i overclocked my sistem.

This is very vague. Could you provide some more details (both systems' specs, resolutions, points)

* When I disable Vsync, It is tearing But no stuttering. Resolution: 1920 x 1080

* I found 2 official patches for it. I'ma try'em.

* Perhaps, this screenshot would help you to get it. this score normal ?:

I'ma tryna get FPS score in the games via 3rd part programs.

Thanks

I think there is a problem/bottleneck with your overclock

Leave your graphic card at stock & also get your CPU/Ram at stock speed & see if that helps?

If all good then try your overclock again but slowly until it's start doing this again then back down your clock by 2-5 mhz & leave it there

AS for your GPU clocks on the pic your shown it's normal it's the idle clocks
For the graphic card get GPU-z http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/SysInfo/GPU-Z/

EDIT: Just reread your last post you're asking for your score if normal that i don't know?
look around with google & see people with a similar pc as yours & see what they are getting in Vantage?
Still recommend you get GPU-z & download Unigine benchmarks it's Dx9, dx10(.1) & DX11

Keep Vsync either disabled or let application deside. No card in history can play games with Vsync enabled all the time. It gets too choppy and requires a lot of graphics strength. You may get away with older games keeping it enabled but not new games.

I think ATI cards benefit with tripple buffer enabled.

First thing when you have a new graphic card. (both AMD/ATI or NVIDIA)

make sure you install latest driver, don't use driver from CD's than came with GPU itself.

that's important, because driver that came from CD's usually old and have many bug's.

after that, use "performance" setting first, and try to playing any game, if there's no bug on it, try to using AA, AF, and other feature one by one until you find bug on your game, or you have the best eye candy settings as possible.

Cheers :toast:

If you go into the AMD forums you will see there are major issues with the catalyst's at the moment. The drivers are causing grey screen.

I had an issue all week as Sunday I did a major upgrade for my rig but have been battling with the graphics card. The retailer where I bought it from replaced but so far so good.

All we can do now is wait for the new driver.

I think ATI cards benefit with tripple buffer enabled.

i just checked in ccc and i do not have triple buffering enabled, would it be a good thing for me to do? or leaveit as it is since it is running fine? Dragon
