Imo general nonsense became more of a side project then anything else. I used to go on there a while back but i havent logged in for over a year due to the same reason you stated. General nonsense should have never been spun off TPU. keeping it as a sub section would have been better. Since its separate from TPU i dont think many people go there anyway. Nothing but a handful of regulars hang out there

The point of the original General Nonsense was made when TPU had something called the "post whores club". It was allowed to go on and on, for a while at least, and it washed out into the normal day to day postings of TPU in general. So along with a post count reduction to many members that had never been seen before or since to so many members at once, a special section appeared at TPU. Even then, things were very lenient, and pretty much as long as no weapons were drawn or Pron being displayed, moderation was relaxed at best! As the site took off when posting in TPUs GN section stopped being allowed, GN.net popped up for all the trolls, post whores, and just about anyone who just wanted to post whatever they felt was worthy, with very little as far as repercussions as long as you stay within the obvious rules of No killing each other, and no Pron, unless clothes or a silly attempt at them being photo shopped in is done first.

I stalk there occasionally, and for what the site offers, I feel the moderation is fair and right for such a site.

There's no less than four active moderators and one active administrator. The moderators almost outnumber the active members. The problem is spam and that's mostly because the forum software has never been updated so robots post unhindered.

We've seen a lot of those odd thanks/no thanks ones lately and no one really has an explanation for that since they really don't mean anything. Perhaps robots are confusing thanks/no thanks with Facebook Like clicks.

those are spam bots, and we ban them but it doesnt delete their thankspam.

That's why I posted, I know probably 10-20 posts were lost, mostly in that Unlimited X thread (most active thread presently).

Edit: I think TPU lost some posts too. I distinctly remember saying the P-1 should have 500 HP in the Firefall thread so it would explode when you drive into stuff. That posts seems to be gone.
