We all know the normal scam gpu. A scammer put's a new fake bios on an old gpu to make it seem new or at least better than it is.

But I have just seen this YouTube video and I expected another typical scam card from wish.com and like whise scam sites. But this card have something even more scary design. It's designed to fry your pc, means literally kill your motherboard and maybe other components as the card will short out the pcie slot it is put in. Really scary stuff frankly. This is a new level of scam and a dangerous one as well. Short out also mean fire hazard as well. Imagine putting this card in your new ryzen 9 3950X or I9 10980XE build and litterly se it dies as you push power button.

I had an EVGA do similar to me a few years back from bad soldering.

I doubt this'll become commonplace... heck it may even be accidental like the evga. The scammer wants to remain undetected as long as possible.

Alright, I have just never seen some thing like this before and wanted to warn others on a potential new trend from scammer.

If this is a new trend, it sure as he'll need to be warned about it.

I agree. I'm just not sure it's intentional quite yet.

Then again, it's not like the scammers care about their image or something... so could be.

Yeah, scammer has no image or anything. The thing they care about is fool people to pay them money and nothing else.
