Isn't it just 120Hz or more for 3D Vision to work properly?

C4 in the UK just did a 3D week, that worked on like every TV... so you can't need something special.

At its most basic level you don't need the special display, my 260 came with a pair of those cheapo glasses with a red and blue film. You have to install the 3d driver and enable it in the control panel, and then supported games (theres loads of em) appear in 3d. Its pretty naff though, I've only bothered once just to see what its like. Its probably better if you go for the switching glasses/special display route, but its an expensive gimmick IMHO

i would say gimmick id think it'd be quite a cool and imersive feature, if the gameplay is right that is. This could be either very very good or just flop imho

Track mania had this option built right into the game, even with the glasses it was never "3D" just distorted at best. That was some time ago though.

really, Nvidia 3D Vision? anyone can get a pair of free 3D glasses from local IMAX for free, but the question is most movies are not designed to be watched in 3D. Star Trek (2009) is probably the latest one to be watched in 3D.

I tried this out myself (with home made glasses lol) and was quite surprised at the effectiveness. FPS gets a hard whack though, I dropped from 70+ to 20FPS in TF2 but have not yet tried adjusting the graphics settings back to get the FPS up again.

It's well worth trying but I don't know that spending too much money is wise because this method uses only two of many working techniques also being commercialised. Although Nvidia is doing good to provide this, I think it will be the panel makers who ultimately decide how we will view 3D in the future.

There aren't too many 120Hz monitors on the market. Samsung and Viewsonic last time I checked, unless you want to pay out big$$$$ for a TV screen.

I noticed, they are good to play the story in single player games, forget the multiplayer...

Remember, they can create vision problems to the eyes, and disorientation.

From what i heard you have to take a break every 30 mins, or sideffects after use will be more long.
