I just updated my drivers to 180.48 and now I can't get into the control panel, it just says (NVIDIA Control Panel Application 2.2.300.00 has stopped working).I now can not enable my sli.
This has happened before and I have always just used the drivers that are on the cd but they are now really old.

    Any tips.

That's very strange. Did you do a complete control panel uninstall of the old driver? Do you have nov 2008 dx update installed? Also, is that the 180.84 driver? That's the one I'm using.

I think you need like evga 1.33 for fan control. I use rivatuner 2.21, and full fan control is available. Check precision update or use rivatuner.
And 180.84 has sli fixes, you should upgrade. Edit: yes evga 1.33 is out and fixes the fan problem.

Ouch, sounds like a bad driver uninstall, which happens. You'll need to do a complete uninstall again, and then use something like drivercleaner pro: http://downloads.guru3d.com/Driver-Cleaner-Professional-download-745.html or a similar tool to completely remove all traces of the driver from the registry. Messy! But only way to fix now..... Edit: and then install 180.84, but only if you're sure all traces of old drivers are gone.

And I'd stay away from nvidia system monitor, buggy, unstable and rivatuner is much better.
