So i decided to do this test, it's to check how much cuda can accelerate a video conversion/transcoding process
Clip used for test is:
The Legend Of Korra - 101 & 102 - Welcome To Republic City - A Leaf In The Wind.mkv
Size: 901MB, Run Time: 46mn 37s, Format: MKV, HD 1280 x 720p
Converting to MP4 HD 1280 x 720p, used the default settings in WinAVI All In One Converter
To let all of you know WinAVI cuda only works while converting to HD not standard definition, all the above test was conversion from HD to HD.
It appears that the cuda cuts down the transcoding time by very much, the clip above on average would take 30mins to convert using only processor,
but with cuda enabled it slashes the transcoding from 30min to an average of 5mins that's very impressive if you ask me.
The picture quality is good too from both with processor only or processor plus cuda enabled.
All comments are welcomed,..
Screen shots:
Cuda Disabled
Processor Only 30sec After Start (Cuda Disabled)
Cuda Enabled
Nvidia Cuda @ Work 30sec After Start (Cuda Enabled)
Nvidia Cuda @ Work 30sce To Finish (Cuda Enabled)
