NVIDIA launched the GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost, its "wild card" for the sub-$200 market. Based on the same GK106 silicon as the original GTX 650 Ti and GTX 660, the card acts as an in-between, featuring the CUDA core and TMU count of the GTX 650 Ti, but the memory bus width and ROP count of the GTX 660. It features 768 CUDA cores, 64 TMUs, 24 ROPs, and a 192-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, holding 2 GB of memory. As its name suggests, the card features GPU Boost. The core is clocked at 980 MHz, which can dynamically overclock itself to 1033 MHz. The memory runs at 6.00 GHz, churning out 144 GB/s memory bandwidth. NVIDIA is looking to disturb AMD's pack in this segment with an aggressive MSRP of $169.99, a 1 GB variant priced at $149.99 is also on the cards. Check out our review here.

Mother of God O.O Cancelling my order on the 7790, I remember someone saying they'd do this exact thing, release a new variant for the 7850 kudos for calling it.

they can't find a better looking cooler than that one? why would they want to extend the card's length by fixing that cooler on that?

Stupid name, you would think by the name of this that it is just a MHz bump over the 650ti, but its almost a completely different card than the 650 ti. Would 655 ti or something like that not be a much better name?

SE = Suckers Edition

When you look at the current price of the Gygabyte GTX 660 OC 2GB going for $183.99

I guess if your really strapped for $14 or out of the delivery market and dont mind the

192 Shader Cores cut
16 Texture Units
6 watt Maximum TDP improvement
$75 in-game currency deduction
10% performance decrease from a base GTX 660 (15% when max OC)

It just another lame way to sell off GK106 chips that didnt make the cut for the GTX 660 at the highest price possible.

Nvidia could easily ditch the $150 In-game currency of the GTX 660 and sell it at the GTX 650 Ti Boost asking price but it wont cause it rather recoup its money.
As it is It looks like a trend that Nvidia is willing to ask its consumers to take one for them so they can meet the're margin.

instead of saturating the market, AMD and Nvidia just need to release their next series of GPUs
