Cant wait to try GRAW2, will just have to remember to uncheck the PX box when not playing a PX game.

Tested with GRAW 2 , UT3 , Warmonger , Gears of War and everything seems to work right

.. i don't need extreme physics , just enough will do actually considering the almost negligible performance loss

... i do leave the physx on while playing non-physx games without any problem ..

You are gaming at fairly lo res though so that make a difference, I will check to see if there is much of a hit when I get mine started.

dont forget that some games dont work without copying over teh correct dll files.

you need to find what version the game uses, and copy that same version from the program files/ageia folder into the game to add video card support sometimes (i had to for UT3 on all my systems)

it seems to work better without SLI. Remember that this is early on, and they're probably focusing on single card setups for now as they are far more common than SLI.

assuming the system boots, i've had bad luck with two Nv cards in crossfire mobos

I have read some stuff that suggests that if you have a 200 series card, there is no benefit from using a 2nd dedicated card for PX as the 200 series has CUDA and is specifically designed for it.....need to check further tho.

So, adding a 8800GS/9600GSO card on top of a GTX260 SLI setup would not improve PhysX performance?

I was reading the same thing...if you do find an article please post the link in my GTX2xx thread too please!

I can't seem to find where I'd read it earlier aside from some forum postings here and there on the web.

I wonder if it has to do with the FP64 shaders/support? From what I heard they're being removed for 55nm as they aren't used in gaming applications, still have all the shaders, just not FP64 iirc...but I don't think that's relevant to this part of CUDA that'd we'd be using...keep us posted tatty!

i have read people stating (without any backup) that the GT200 series cards have dedicated hardware for physx and therefore will get no gain from using a second card.

it would really help if someone could test that for us.

PhysX is all about the amount of shaders and the speed they run on. More shaders and/or faster shaders = more PhysX power.

It would be completly unlogic if Nvidia adds deticated shaders for physx because that would be a waste of power.

And you have to think of what your saying, 2 GTX280 cards should always be faster then one.
