Either way. I haven't seen any vantage problems w/ cf, but you never know. Either way, the final test and cpu score are going to be the ones to look at to know if physX is working the same way as w/ nvidia cards. If you wanna see what you can get though, might as well leave em in cf and go for the gold.

I spent 15 dollars for my Vantage. And, I think if you do any benches, then spending the money for the full thing is the way to go.. A Bench mark can do more for ya then just a score, its also a ability to make sure if your system is stable.. if it hard freezes then its the computer, if there is a display error, then you know its your GPU clocks... Then if you can run it two to three times in arow without anything wrong.. your probably stable.. Then off to your prime, orthos, or OCCT and see if you are..
But, thats what I feel about benches... Then Vantage made me want to do more.. lol

Have you downloaded any of the 177 drivers? If not you kind find many links w/ them in this thread. After you get the drivers just dl the physX linked in the op.

everytime i go to install the driver it says the system will not be modified after installing?? wtf??

That's weird, did you try installing anyway? And you have the modded inf in there right?

Can you screen shot it? When you get the modded inf file, you just add it to the folder.. when it asks to keep the file or delete the other one, keep both... Thats what makes it work.. if you delete the original .INF file, you get screwed

Ok It won't let me use the second CD key. I was able to run it once and on the one test I seen 7 rings... Not sure if thats good or not. The PhysX card was in.

This was run at stock speeds.

7 rings, huh, I guess b/c your using a quad, it seems to change w/ hardware. But it looks like at least vantage isn't running physX, at least not the nvidia way. Your cpu score would be well over 30k. This doesn't really surprise me, it seems like nvidia has worked something out so only they can gain that advantage right now, making their cards look better. Seems like you have to have physX to some degree though, it would be just plain stealing if they wouldn't allow the card you bought to work b/c you have ati cards, unless that was explicitly stated as a requirement.

Yup check his cpu score. 37000. I get 32000 w/ my piddly little 6750, at stock speeds I get very near 30k. 10k is average for a phenom w/o physX.

Well if its not going to work with my 3870's guess I could sell the PhysX card to a Nvidia guy eh....lolz

That would make my mind up on putting this Asus MB in my Rocketfish and not the MSI MB.

The Asus can handle 3 dual slot video cards and the MSI 4. But the MSI can take 3 and the PhysX card where the Asus can't.

Guess its Asus and 3 video cards...helped make up my mind...

I have stock speed one for just my graphics... I haven't done it with my cpu at stock anymore... I haven't done stock speeds for cpu in a long time

Guess I won't be using PhysX in this way... Will have to wait and see what AMD does with Havoc now... I won't buy Nvidia to use it...

It wouldn't let me install the nVidia drivers, but I was able to install the PhysX driver and run all the demos that came with that. Does that mean it's working?
