Installed driver, there is no "Low Latency Mode" in "Manage 3D Settings"

Anyone else found it?

Apparently GeForce Experience did not install 436.02, it was installing 431.60 as the latest driver.

So much for GeForce Experience always keeping you up to date.

10 bit color support ? I will try new driver with ICC profile without dithering registries hack to see if those ugly color banding is still present.

Report back. Color banding from gamma calibration is still there.

I will be testing this later. Got some good old DOS games I wanna try out now with integer scaling.

As for whining. The generation of entitlement.

For real...

I love it. I was reading the intel and AMD slides and was like "i love sharper textures and lower latency" bam... here you go.

Just tested ultra low latency setting in Rage 2, definitely makes the movement feel less mushy @ 120fps.

Will these new drivers improve gaming performance on older technology? A 1060 6GB for example.
or these numbers apply only to the RTX flagships.

As much as NVIDIA is hated everywhere I still believe the company and their products are just awesome. Yes, overpriced at the moment but it's not NVIDIA's fault they have no competition at high end.

Look again ... everything but the 2080 Ti is prced according to historic norms. And if in US, don't forget the tariff.

Having checked the results / very little difference in FPS (within margin of error +-1% some games maybe 3-5% at the very most (and again this maybe just the game itself being updated since last bench)
The anti-lag only seems to work when lowering the details from vhigh/high to med/low. They even mention this in the disclaimer in the slide.
And finally the sharpening / its just how it should look (Nv image quality has historically been worse)
Flame away but truth hurts if you have been lied to.

Oh no, please keep it. It does the job, it just works , and its not some strange low-information density piece of junk like GFE. and 90% of websites these days.

If you want shiny nonsense install Experience :p
Yeah there are some pretty gaudy websites and UI's. It could defiantly be worse, but at the same time it is a pretty fair point on just how dated it looks. Just the same how often do you really use it to the point it matters in the first place? I mean there is a bit of a reason why it hasn't gotten much of a face lift it's not exactly needed badly enough to bother with.

Exactly, the NVCP is there to make detailed setups and do it once so you can use them in applications. GFE is there for the 'user experience' part of setting up games.

Wasn't too impressed with the Sharpening. The one in Details at least darkens the image as it sharpens, but I read around that it won't consume more resources versus the Detail sharpening technique.

I don't bother with GFE cause it's gaudy and offers nothing compelling to me that would make me want to. I'll stick to nvidia inspector and/or reshade if I need "user experience" NVCP I basically only use for resolution/aspect ratio changes or sometimes to adjust the gamma it serves little purpose these days.

Just another day on the internet...

If it's a Nvidia related thread, bash it no matter what!
You must've missed the other thread where more than half the folks were claiming they knew better than AMD engineers, that went for what 8 or 9 pages & had lots of opinions masked as facts :ohwell:

You have a TN panel. There will be some bit of banding present, and it's not even capable of 10-bit, not sure why you're enabling it?
You know there is banding from gamma adjust when using Nvidia GPU right ?
AMD have temporal dithering enable by default for decade and don't suffer from the same fate.
Also Nvidia + Linux = no banding due to 11 bit internal LUT plus there are many dithering methods to deal with , while Nvidia + Windows = banding from 8 bit internal LUT with zero dithering to choose.

This is not limited to TN panel. Try gamma adjust on IPS monitor like PG279Q and you will see banding.
But currently I can deal with it by dithering registries hack. It is already present in Linux and it can take less than 30 minutes for Nvidia engineers to implement this to Nvidia control panel in Windows but they don't do it anyways for some stupid reason.

I make a video to test about performance loss from enable dithering. There is zero penalty , it doesn't turn 1080 Ti to 1080 so I don't understand why they ignore this request since 2015.

Quadro also have access to dithering in Windows via NVWMI. This again proof that dithering is already present in Windows.

So in the end if you calibrate your monitor.

1.Any Nvidia cards + Linux = no banding.

2.Nvidia + Windows = various results.
2.1 Quadro + Windows = no banding.
2.2 Geforce + Windows = banding
2.3 Geforce + Windows + dithering registries hack (NOT officially support) = various results.

2.3.1 Geforce + dithering registries hack + Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10 1507-1607 = no banding.
2.3.2 Geforce + dithering registries hack + Windows 10 1703-1803 = no banding with some minor issues.
2.3.3 Geforce + dithering registries hack + Windows 10 1809 = no banding with some major issues.
2.3.4 Geforce + dithering registries hack + Windows 10 1903 = constant banding everywhere because it doesn't work anymore.

Since dithering registries hack is NOT officially support by Nvidia any problems that happen with Windows 10 1703 and later cannot be solve. We only have some workaround methods to deal with it.

sharpen filter works unbelievably well in KCD. Game looks so much better.

that would be true except all the filters and experimental features are done through the in game gfe overlay.
