And that's the root problem with Linux on the desktop - industry support is still lacking after more than 20 years. It's powerful and solidly well made, but what good is it without mainstream apps running on it like they do in Windows, or better. It's a real chicken and egg situation by the looks of it that Linux will never get over.
Libreoffice works fine on Linux, and from my experience vast majority of companies I have seen really only need their computers for Excel, Word, Email, web browsing. I know many companies need specialized software, I'm not referring to those companies here, just saying, Linux is still applicable to many smaller companies
