Nvidia recommends Windows users to remove the latest patches

Nvidia has issued a warning regarding the latest security patches that Microsoft has released.
The new update causes frame drops, vsync errors, crashes and even blue screens.
The manufacturer recommends removing the patches.

This is the April 2021 security update (KB5001330). This update fixes a bug that corrupted the ntfs file system.
Unfortunately, there is one more solution to this problem and the only thing that can be done to avoid the bugs is a rollback of the update.
However, that means that the ntfs file system could become corrupted again. Despite that, Nvidia recommends rolling back the update.

Meanwhile, several Reddit users are discussing other solutions, but nothing meaningful has come out so far.
Even installing the Insider Preview update (KB5001391) does not solve the problem.
The new issues apply to computers equipped with an Nvidia or AMD video card.

Personally I haven't had these issues yet and have the KB5001330 still installed.

I have 2-3 issues with Windows patches in 2020 alone, now I just pause the updates every time it's due.
One of the update just straight up BSODing my laptop.

Same here, I do not have any issues with my main rig or my laptop both running 20H2 latest build no weird issues.

I am testing out the latest version of Windows 10 from Ghost Spectre on my laptop works fine.

I've got the latest patch and it's fine. No problems running Civ, Henry Stickmin (except in fullscreen, but it says it may crash in fullscreen).
Then again, GTX 650 Ti BOOST...

i have the latest update installed. i did notice that after updating my drivers from 461.92 to 466.11 i was getting stuttering and poor frame rates in valheim. i used to get a solid 60-75 fps. reverted back to 461.92 and have not had a problem. And before anybody asks, yes i used ddu and redid all relevant drivers from scratch.

A lot of people do the Nvidia updates chasing after a couple more FPS in some games. I've been running the same driver that came with my 2070 Super.

If it aint broke, don't fix it.

Just went back to 461.09 Dec 31, 2020 driver.
With all later drivers I have to disable hardware acceleration in Chrome or I get intermittent flickering on chrome. :banghead:

Personally I have to update everytime, I use Geforce Experience to change in-game color, especially on CSGO where everything looks so sad and colorless, once I had a problem envolving a NVIDIA driver from my 1080 and I just unistalled it...
