NVIDIA released its latest "Game Ready" driver that's become customary for the company ahead of a big AAA game launch; GeForce 353.30. These WHQL-signed drivers come "ready" for Batman: Arkham Knight, including SLI profiles, and GeForce Experience settings. The driver also adds an SLI profile for Lord of Vermilion Arena in its DirectX 9 mode. Batman Arkham Knight features NVIDIA's GameWorks varnish, and should feature a few effects and settings exclusive to NVIDIA. The game releases tomorrow (23/06/2015).

I don't get it why they don't release SLi/Crossfire profiles like antiviruses get virus definitions. Instead of manually downloading 300 MB packages just to update a 100 KB multi-GPU profile, you'd get them in an instant without uninstalling/installing new drivers, you'd win because you'd get them faster and graphic vendors would win because they'd waste less of bandwidth for something this trivial...

I also don't get it why do we need to download huge package of drivers containing 10 generations of drivers. Why is so difficult to separate those into smaller files??

Would be easy to comprehend and use for You.
Not so for the average joe.
And knowing that many "average joes" don't even bother updating their drivers, ever, for it being "hard and scary"... making it a better, yet slightly more complicated installation process would leave even more people with their driver version that is "whatever I got when I bought the PC". And those are a nightmare for game developers...

Yeah drivers should be more modular. Use experience for game/sli/app profiles and download them only when you actually need them(with nasty popup that requires you to install profile for your game you just installed), and keep driver base clean of those kind of crap.

I still use the GTA V driver, works well for my games.

Edit: and if I have a driver without the ability to overclock my GTX770M now, I don't mind, I do not overclock anyway

anyway, it's under 300 megs
Unless using a Y2K-tier connection, the download time is trivial, anyway

Surprisingly good and stable driver for Witcher 3.

For me, 353.06 were rubbish for Witcher 3, the performance boost was good but very unstable (TDR errors occurred frequently). Roll back to 350.12 and everything is stable but missing the performance boost.

Installed this one and so far all is well. No TDR error, better FPS, and no texture corruption anymore.

If it is not too much trouble to ask, perhaps you could see if Google Chrome can be used with hardware acceleration enabled without causing TDR now? If not, please ignore my request. Google Chrome with hardware acceleration enabled is the only issue I have. I am back to 347.88 now, but the 353.06 gave performance boost to my GTX 980 SLI in The Witcher 3 even with HairWorks enabled, which is something I miss, and productivity softwares like Photoshop and Lightroom work normally. The minor stutter for both softwares, which I posted in one of the drivers thread, appeared to be Adobe Application Manager connecting and downloading or updating something when I was working. It is no longer an issue now.

And thank you very much if you assist me on this.

I'm browsing TPU and typing this post with Chrome (with H/W acceleration enabled) right now.
Tried streaming from Youtube and it also works fine, no TDR so far in Chrome.

Hope this helps.

Good to hear there may be one I can finally dump my stable 347.88 for! I'm still going to wait a day though.

Woof, people best read the release notes on these...

Under the Windows 8.1 section:

* [SLI, Batman: Arkham Knights] With a 4K display, a TDR occurs after the in-game
resolution is toggled and the application is exited. [200116725]
* [SLI, Batman: Arkham Knights] Heavy flickering occurs in game after Alt+Tab if SLI is
enabled. [200116723]
* [SLI, Batman: Arkham Knights] Severe stuttering seen, especially in indoor scenes,
when the game is running at 4K resolution and NVIDIA Gameworks settings are
turned on. [200116722]
* [SLI, Batman: Arkham Knights] Random flickering occurs in the game if SLI is
enabled. [200116717]
* [GM206, SLI, Batman: Arkham Knights] Stuttering occurs and performance drops
after shadow quality settings are toggled. [200116694]
* [GK180, SLI, Batman: Arkham Knights] When SLI is enabled, a crash points to
ntdll.dll shortly after the game is exited. [200116717]

Doesn't affect older cards. It's a common issue if you bother to look.... Which you don't need to do.. Since you are using older cards.

Same here. However, I'm still waiting for it to crash with this version, I'm sure it will happen since I read about people still having TDRs in chrome on geforce driver thread.

You can add this to your GW titles to be upset about:

We also want to note that there are some known issues with the performance of Batman: Arkham Knight for PC owners using AMD graphics cards. We are working closely with AMD to rectify these issues as quickly as possible and will provide updates here as they become available. We thank you for your patience in this matter.
