In the wake of AMD rolling out the $299 Radeon R9 280X, $199 Radeon R9 270X, and $139 Radeon R7 260X; NVIDIA is giving final touches to price cuts to several of its SKUs, beginning with the GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost. Originally priced at $149, pricing of the card could be adjusted closer to that of the R7 260X. Our review of the card revealed NVIDIA's offering to be a staggering 24 percent faster overall. NVIDIA could also lower the price of the now $180 GeForce GTX 660. All eyes, however, are on the $249 GeForce GTX 760, which is sandwiched by AMD's offerings.

And then..

Here comes R9 290X and R9 290 and I hope that these chips will make Nvidia lower the price of GTX 780 so I can add another for SLI. I just can't wait!

I love price wars! :toast:
I'm not really an nVidia guy, but I certainly do appreciate them. Close competition like this means that us consumers on both sides win.

I hate them because no matter what happens, prices in India never change :(
7970 still sells for 500$ here lol.

I hope the R9-280X launches at 400$ so that i can afford it :)
Or else i'll have to settle with R9-270X :'(

I just prefer Nvidia drivers still, I have no regrets in my GTX 780 upgrade last month from a radeon 6970. My 6970 served me well, but the top 3 games I play the most all support Physx, so it is nice to finally get the full effects.

If you don't play Physx games much then yeah I can understand sticking with AMD. Physx is worth the extra price to me

Yeah that would be nice,....

I bought my GTX 670 quite a while ago on sale for $279.99 plus three free games valued (at the time) at about ~$50 each.

Cheaper GTX660, GTX770 and GTX780 are welcome too though,....

Everybody wins!!!
