You're barking up the wrong tree.

You have it wrong in your title; their customers are joyous over this. It's gamers who are getting tortured.

Wanna make a difference? Crash the crypto market.
Don't buy Nvidia. Crashing the crypto market means little to them (unless they are holding crypto currency). Nvidia could care less who buys their GPUs, gamers, miners, old ladies who use $800 video cards to keep their bridge table from wobbling. Crash Nvidia's stock price and well now, Nvidia is all about you the gamer and how much they care and love you.

Didn't they get sued last time because they didin't disclose that they had earnings because of crypto?

Yeeaaahh no. When I got my 1080ti, AMD didn't have anything to compete. Now they do and the option for a logical upgrade is there. Previously there wasn't a whole lotta pick.

The problem isn't really Nvidia or 'how it acts' but rather the presence of a better purpose for GPUs than getting them in the affordable range for gamers. There is an infinite demand issue going on.

We aren't buying Nvidia, that's basically the whole problem ;)

Nvidia has a fiduciary responsibility, I'm not knocking how they are acting as a company. I'm saying as a gamer it sucks.

Yeeaaahh no. When I got my 1080ti, AMD didn't have anything to compete. Now they do and the option for a logical upgrade is there. Previously there wasn't a whole lotta pick.
That's your personal choice, my point is if you want a company to hear you hit them where it hurts - their stock price.

Interesting that their stock fell by a fair bit in the last week or so, looks like investors are not that happy about the crypto revenue as I expected.

How many more of these threads?
We always get the numbers for these companies. It's not TPU's fault that NVIdia is making a fool of themselves in the realm of mindshare.

If they don't want my money that's up to them. But because I have an old GPU that means I wont be buying any new games because what's the point? If I don't buy new games I cant spread the hype about it or my new GPU lol. If I decide that this hobby isn't for me because it isn't worth the price of admission, that is on them too.. I am ok with enjoying hobbies that I can buy stuff for. I've built this rig almost 4 months ago, and I still cant buy a GPU. Fuck em then... Hope the Coin was worth it :D

TPU forums these days.. first calling anything less than unlimited supply a paper launch, and now blood money?

You can feel the outrage culture slowly seeping through from the mainstream culture. Sensationalized (click bait) title, outrageous claims. Appealing to emotions.

Best way for this type of threads is just not engaging and alert the mods. We are all doing the opposite here: feeding the troll.

I haven't been following bitcoin, but after just looking the price has almost dropped $10k in the past two days (not counting the current day fluctuations).

In terms of being a PC gamer and how I am in need of a new GPU, hopeful thinking wants me to believe the crypto bubble burst and crypto is back on the way down (way, way down).

In terms of being a realist, yeah, probably just a hiccup to correct the rapid price jump it took and crypto mining will still be a thorn in our side for a while.

Underlying cause cannot be ignored: people are starting to lose touch with reality. Why? Because a lot of what is happening is very hard to comprehend. Why does it happen. How. Etc. Information overload and too much complexity.

We used to have a safe haven for things we didnt understand: we would call it religion and attribute it to a higher power. Now put that lens on the outrage movement, its a perfect fit.

old ladies who use $800 video cards to keep their bridge table from wobbling.
LMFAO! I can picture this in my head now 4 old ladies' Purple hair shimmering off the soft dim incandescent light bulb over head.
OMG! The card table is set and there is a GIANT 1,000.00 Dollar Nvidia 1660 super under the leg of the card table!

Is this another hate Nvidia thread?

You want some one to blame?
China for buying up all the cards and then mining in HUGE warehouses for our money!
And after they used the shit out of the cards place them back in the box and sell them as new merchandise! RAKING IN even more of OUR CASH!
