Hi I was looking for an expansion card for some NVME drives. I already have the Asus Hyper M2 riser card and it works great. What I am looking for is a PCI_E 3.0 x8 interface card that I can use in a x8 slot. There do not seem to be any available to purchase. Even the x16 cards that are supposed to be released from MSI, As Rock and Gigabyte (who apparently has a 2x8 Expansion card) are nowhere to be found. Do any of the staff know when anyone will actually be releasing a x8 ot x16 expansion card? I know that there are a ton of expansion cards available on Amazon and Newegg but they are all x4 or too expensive to make sense.

those quad nvme x16 cards are sick,I wish I had one just for fun.Even to get some 4 cheap 500gb nvme's.M9pe costs what regular sata ssds cost here and it's still a great drive.Four of them in a card would be impressive.

Just make sure you get one for $40, not $70...

Not sure where you live, but if you're in Europe, see:

I have the Asus card and I currently have it populated with 2 Intel 660P 2TB and 2 Adata Sx8200 Pro 512GB. I posted my Crystal scores on another thread yesterday.

so two double disk raid setups on a single card ?
that's a really sweet setup and also very budget friendly.those 660p at 2tb capacity really push the value meter, sx8200s are great too but wouldn't buy them for their micron memory, would much rather have toshiba's bics.

I hoped that I'd be able to buy such a card used from ppl who bought into x399/x299 but do not wanna keep it,but no luck so far.It costs about the price of a 500gb sata ssd new,but I'd like it a bit cheaper.

Yep you can definitely do that. Indeed they have definitely come up in price though. When I got mine it was $67.99 CAD and now they list for $129.99 CAD. That was why I was looking for a x8 card. Unfortunately the Super Micro card is more expensive than the Asus Card currently at $146 CAD so I decided to get another Asus card. I want to use 4 Intel 660Ps 1TB (price) in one and my 2 Adata drives in the x8 slot available on my MB. I have 3 (one on the way) so I will look for another around Black Friday.
