NZXT Phantom 410

Hi I am giving my other daughter my present case which is a NZXT Lexa and I was going to replace it with a NZXT Phantom 410 Black with Orange Trim Mid Tower Case, the only problem I can see is I have an AMD 6970 with an Arctic Accelero Xtreme Plus II cooler on it which makes it 315cm long approx, will it fit in the Phantom.

305mm WITHOUT removing the HDD cage. So if you remove the cage, you will get a huge amount of clearance.

Hi RCoon thanks looks like I am getting a new case, I might even throw in a new power supply I have been thinking of a modular one preferably Corsair should I go up in power from the 750 I have.

You wouldnt use more than 750watts in that system, more likely less than 650watts even. 650watts is good for a quad core and single GPU no problem. I'd only invest in 80plus bronze/silver/gold/platinum if you dont have that already.
Modular is great, get an 80 plus rated bronze or above for sure, and if you think you'll ever get a second GPU, then look at 850watts.

You're system looks awesome, I wouldnt upgrade a thing unless you have some cash laying around, in which case maybe a silver or gold rated PSU, and an awesome CPU Cooler, like an AIO. But to be fair, the CM Hyper 212 is pretty good.

Only if you think you'll run dual video cards in the future. Otherwise 750 watts is way more than your system will ever use.

What is it with the TX HX and the CX What does it mean.

AX is fully modular, HX is modular except mobo 24pin, TX is non modular.

I have the HX, because I dont ever remember needing to remove a 24pin cable entirely. Just for sleeving purposes.

Looking at it's page on scan.com, it's the TX750M they have listed, which is modular. Only the 24 pin wire is non-removable. I looked at all the 750 watt PSU's on scan.com from manufacturers I would trust, the TX750M is about the best they have for the money.

It won't have a issue with a HD7000 or even a HD8000 when they are released. Only issue it may have is if you upgrade to a Haswell cpu. Something about Haswell cpu's needing PSU's with a certain certification. Don't remember exactly what the cert. was.

Just go for the cheapest with semi-modular, it will easily handle the new series of GPU's as they only get more and more efficient. Make sure you check Ebuyer, OCUK, Dabs, CCLOnline as well.

Amazon and scan worth looking too

I would recommend looking at non modular too, to me the only difference is that modular allows neater builds, which is of little matter if everything is going to stay hidden anyway.
