hi guys i just wont to share my OC result... Because when i was searching for this kind test i could not find any :/ FX-6100; Sapphire 7850 1gb oc; kingston hyper x 2x4gb 1600
@ 4.1ghz

Overclocking didn't really improve performance much.

I can only conclude that those games are more core heavy than frequency heavy?

As u can see , the difference was only in Far cry 3 probably because of that huge map cpu needed a more power
But frequency doesnt make a huge diference, unless you go to 4.7/8ghz :/
And in that stock CPU speed RAM was @1333

no, turbo is off, @ 4.1 ghz is no need for turbo :/

He means when you reset the BIOS to stock settings, it will have had turbo enabled. AKA it would have turbo'd in games from 3.3 to 3.8, which would completely ruin your results.

at stock speed turbo is on , if u ask that ... But turbo turns off some core to go to 3.8 ghz so when u oc cpu there is no need to turn turbo on

Your test should be 3.8Ghz vs 4.1Ghz then, as the cpu will almost always turbo on full load @ stock. That is why there is almost no difference in framerates, because there's only 300mhz between the two tests...
Try the test with 3.3Ghz stock with turbo disabled. Then you'll see some actual differences.

With the 6100 and the 7850 you are already getting to the limit of the two. If you had a 8350 and a 7850 you would probably tell a huge difference when OCing.

I will post result of 3.3 ghz ... but the game dont use 100% cpu, i have never seen to go above 60%,70% , that is not enought to cpu use turbo :/

why do u guys say "u need i7 or 8350 for games " ??? The games dont stress cpu too much

I don't think anyone recommended i7 or 8350 for gaming. Certain games (mostly RTS) demands very good single core performance for fluid graphics, an overclocked i5 can easily handle those. As for AMD FX6300/6800K gets the recommendation more often than not for gaming.

Try playing 4vs4 in StarCraft II, then those 8 threads become useful

Every other man-shoot & man-drive-shoot game doesnt give a damn what CPU you're using. Hence my choice of CPU.

BF4 uses all cores of quad at pretty high usage , I would not want anything less than quad core .
I get 80-85% on all in the beta .
I never though FC3 would be CPU bound as it always seemed graphic bottleneck but again depends on your settings .
