It is a screw up on Amazon's part, they claim there are $40 in MIRs on the drives, but there is really only $20 in MIRs. There are two $20 rebates, but one is only valid if you buy the drive between August 7 and August 8th, so it really doesn't apply even though Amazon is including it in the final price.

Though $55 is still a good price for a 128GB SSD.

Well I did a little research and came up with some info. There are actually 3 rebates on this drive when bought through Amazon.

Go to this site, which is the site you use to redeem these rebates, and then do an advanced search. Then select Amazon.com for the retailer, and put AGT4-25SAT3-128G in as the model number. It will bring up 5 rebates for the drive, 3 of which are still active(though one expires today, Sept. 9th). One is an "up to $30" the other two are "up to $20". However, one of the rebates on Amazon matches one of the 3 rebate numbers on that site, the one that expires today, so we know that rebate nets $20. The "up to $30" rebate's PDF form can be found here, and it say it gives $10 back on the drive. The other rebate I wasn't able to find PDF form on, so I'm going to assume it gives $10 back. That would total $40 off on the drive, if you don't mind filling out and waiting for 3 rebates.

Edit: When I select the details for the 3rd rebate that I couldn't find a PDF for, it says the rebate is for between $15 to 20. That means the total is actually $45(possibly $50) in rebates for this drive, bringing the price down to $30(possibly $25) per drive! Also, each rebate can be used multiple times, I think the $20 limits to 3 uses(the other 2 rebates can be used more times), so you can get up to 3 drives for $30 a piece! Damn good price if you don't mind jumping through the hoops and waiting for the rebates.

You don't have to save the forms, you fill everything out online, then it lets you print out the form you mail in once you finish the online form. Unfortunately you need serial numbers before you can finish the forms, so you have to wait until you get the drive before you can print anything.

I just want the form with the rebate details, not the actual rebate form. My SSD hasn't arrived yet so I don't want to fill out any forms until I know the drive works. I managed to find OCZ-11619 off Google (it's an Amazon link), but not OCZ-11658. OCZ-11651 is the default one on Amazon.

Here is a list w/ rebate amounts:
OCZ-11658 - $20.00
OCZ-11619 - $10.00
OCZ-11651 - $20.00 (This one is on Amazon.com.)
Total: - $50.00

So Amazon only lists 1 valid $20 rebate, but not the other 2 for $20 and $10.

This puts this drive at $25!!! I paid almost $7 tax, so it's more like $32 for me, but still one hell of a deal! I seriously want to get 3 LOL.

Actually, just do what I said, go into each rebate and you can fill out the form before the drive even arrive. Once you fill out the forms, and put in your Amazon invoice number, it gives you a form to print.

I wonder if I should get 2 more... 3 128GB SSDs for $96. Who would've thunk 384GB worth of solid state storage would be so cheap?

But these drives seem to be really unreliable so I may just screw it and use 1 for now.

Edit: How do you send multiple rebates for one item if each requires the original UPC code, but each rebate also says 1 rebate submission per envelope?

So that is $50 off per drive, so the drives cost $25 each in the end.

OCZ SSDs only come with 1, I've done a couple of rebates for them and there's only ever 1 regardless of whether it's cardboard packaging or a clam-shell.

Hmmm, I wonder if when they say attach an original barcode UPS, they only want 1 UPC even though you are getting the rebate for 3 drives, as long as the invoice you include says you bought 3 drives?

IDK, I'll have to wait to hear a response from Amazon or the rebate company. I know if they say I can only redeem 1 rebate per drive, I'm returning them.

Amazon also fixed their product page and has the final price to be $54.99, and removed the second (invalid) rebate.

Well I can't seem to find any way to actually contact OCZ/4myrebates, so if you can locate a way to contact them, do it and please let me know how to contact them.

Edit: Nevermind, you have to go through OCZ's main website if you have any rebate questions. We'll see what OCZ says. I expect to go to war with them if they don't give me the rebates or find some other way to honor the $25 a piece price on the drives.

OCZ responded to me today and basically said "our rebate team made overlapping rebates but, you can only redeem one mail in rebate per item".

Which I responded with basically "none of the forms say that anywhere, you will honor the price, it isn't my problem that your rebate team screwed up and made overlapping rebates".

We'll see what they say.

OCZ just sent me another email saying they will honor the two $20 rebates, the person asked for my tracking number that I got when I registered the 11658 rebate and said he would contact the rebate house and make sure that it gets approved. He said I could attached the invoice to the email as well and the rebate would go right through without me having to send anything in at all.

I guess we are out of luck on the $10 rebate but at least they are honoring the two rebates they advertised. And $35 for this drive is still an amazing price.
