OCZ's mice are called Equalizer and feature a 2500 DPI laser sensor made by Agilent technology. The mice come in two different sizes, one aimed at gaming and one made for laptop users. One of the special features that the Equalizer has is a Triple-Threat button which should fire three shots in rapid succession, besides that the button should function as a double-click button in standard Windows applications.

Thanks for the review Fred. I was gonna look into getting one of these mice, and the fact that it is blue (my favorite color) was a nice sticking point. However, if its herky-jerky in windows environments and games, its definately not worth using. My compaq optical mouse is better than this.

I have this mouse and I have no real issues with the tracking. I also haven't experienced any stalling, maybe it's the particular sample you used.

Previously I owned a Logitech MX518 gaming mouse which i loved, but thought i'd try this out when I gave my MX518 to a friend. I also got this for a bargain at $25 CDN.

My Battlefield 2 stats went up, particularly in Accuracy % and Kill/Death ratio: stats with the two different mice:

MX518:

1.86 K/D ratio, 24% Hit Accuracy
(http://www.bf2stats.nl/player/74042707/)

OCZ Equalizer:

2.04 K/D ratio, 27% Hit Accuracy
(http://www.bf2stats.nl/player/135236671/)

My old 400dpi standard optical mouse:

1.6K/D, 21% hit accuracy
(http://www.bf2stats.nl/player/62039197/)

WarEagle, you shouldn't judge a product on just one review... There are tons of other reviews for this mouse btw.

Also, it did take atleast 2 or 3 weeks to get used to the change in feel... so it's important to thinnk whether a lot of these reviews have spent enough time with a device to fully become comfortable with it, and not carry over their assumptions of how it should feel vs. their previous device of choice.

I hate to bump an old thread but does anybody know if OCZ finally released Windows 7 x64 drivers for the OCZ Equalizer Gaming Mouse?

Also just a note, I had my first one break on me and without question OCZ replaced it with a sealed brand new one. Love the 6 year warranty they offer.

I’ve never experienced any tracking problems with this mouse, it performs really good in games such as Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, FarCry2, Crysis 1, 2 & 3 etc.
