The Vertex 450 is OCZ's replacement for their Vertex 4 and uses OCZ's own in-house Indilinx Barefoot controller. In our testing, we see performance that matches the Vertex 4, at a lower price. The included TrueImage HD software makes migration easier than before, especially for less experienced users.

too small size

dont get the point of testing 256gb storage, its too small for consumer use anyways, 500gb minimum.....

There is definitely a point to 256gb SSD drives, most people use them as boot drives.

I personally think 2xx Gb SSDs is the sweet spot for most: big and cheap enough for quite a few games and OS. 500Gb is too expensive for value for money rigs.

Like 4Staff mentioned, that is the sweet spot for consumers between affordability and capacity. This is the perfect capacity to test. Not to mention, most drives are fastest at 256GB so they want to put their best foot forward.

Yeah, 256Gb is the current sweet spot. If you want 512Gb, just buy two 256Gb and RAID 0 them.
