My laptop (listed in my profile's system specs) has been having on and off some weird behavior when trying to connect to WiFi. Sometimes it takes multiple attempts to get it to connect to my campus WiFi network, other times the WiFi card (Intel 9560) flat out disappears and re-appears (the normal network flyout goes blank, and the legacy Win8-style one I enabled tells me the network device is missing, then a few seconds later it is back usually but not always it lets me connect after an attempt or two). This has been an issue since mid summer and is rapidly getting worse. It is not just under Windows though. I was on a skype call (using my desktop to make the call) today with a family member and tried to demonstrate Tails, which I have had work fine with the WiFi card on my laptop last time I tried), and it found the network but kept again and again try to connect and repeatedly asking to confirm my credentials. The WiFi network is not an issue as we have had multiple massive network upgrades this year due to the coronavirus causing bandwidth needs to elevate and it works *perfectly* on my cell phones (Murata and Samsung Wifi chips) and desktop (Realtek RTL8821CE). I'm suspecting it might possibly be that the card is failing after just over a year, and if so I might consider trying to change it myself if I have the right tools (otherwise it is back to the guy that changed my fan and thermal paste a month ago). Any community input on this issue would be great. Gone are the days of my childhood when consumer laptops much cheaper than the one I currently have functioned with no maintenance for at least 3-6 years before any issues showed up
