I installed win 7 7100 last night and I left it on overnight because i was downloading a game from steam. When I woke up today the computer was off so i just assumed it was in sleep mode. When I hit the keyboard nothing happened, so i hit the power button and it turned on but displayed nothing on the screen, hit the reset button and nothing happened. So I held in the power button untill it shut down. I then turned it back on and in the bios it was saying overclocke failed press f1 to go to setup, press f2 to restore defaults, so i restored everything and it automatically booted into 7 with the message "resuming windows" then the screen went black again, I could hear the hard drive working but there was nothing on the display, I tried to reset it and nothing happened, so I held the power button again, waited untill it turned off and turned it back on. Told my my overclock failed again, so i restored defaults and now it boots normally. The steam game was not finished downloading, i don't think it would go to sleep unless it was so it seems somthing failed. Should I be worried by this?

Thanks.

Maybe your OC was unstable?

The resuming Windows bit means it entered Hibernation mode.

After 360min of idle it hibernated, I always disable all hibernations and set my sleep mode as S1 so it doesnt interupt downloading.

The only thing that was changed in the bios was memory speed and timings, these are tested and stable. There was no OC on the cpu. Could this be a hardware issue or somthing?

Last time I ran memtest was for 12 hours no errors. that was with timings of 7-7-7-24 which OCZ rates my modules for, when this happened my memory was running at 8-8-8-24 because I cant get 7-7-7-24 completely stable, when I got home just a few minutes ago it was off so I turned it on and the same thing happened that happened this morning with al default settings on everything. Don't know if this means anything but usally when the comp gos sleep mode the power light blinks which it was not doing when I had the problem.
