Okay i figured out the tracking issues:
My headset told me it was too dark and losing tracking every time the ducted heating in my roof went off. The trackings infrared - heat screws with it. Heating and AC all might screw with the controllers at times.

AS: The damned playthrough here

FWIW, I just came across a deal for the Quest 2 256GB with branded carry case at Costco for ~$289.99. Not necessary a great deal all things considered but Bob’s your Uncle.

Hey that's a good deal! The Quest 2 is still a great headset, but who knows how long Meta will support it. They don't have a good track record for keeping headsets serviceable after a new one comes out. I already sold my Quest 2. I just have the Quest 3, Rift S, Vive, DK1 now. The vive is in a box and my Rift S is almost in a box. lol It's unplugged right now. My dk1 is packed up as well.

My wife won our Quest 2 = free. I use it exclusively for media consumption. I have an OG Quest for sweating in. Thrill of the fight and Beat Saber are most of the workload. Played some Creed, but it's too much game, not enough boxing sim. If there is a Kick Boxing sim please let me know (Austin Danger Powers) that's my bag baby.

I started watching Deep Space Nine from the beginning a few months back. I am almost done with season 6. The superior screen to the OG Quest makes this headset ideal for the task. I am watching on Prime VR, and I have never seen it look anywhere near this good. The upscaling works so well I can see the prosthetic makeup. Major Kira, Dax, and Leeta lookin' fine as hell too. :pimp:

I have the original Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest (v1) and Oculus Quest 2. I consider them collector's items but I still use the Quest 2. The rest are boxed up in their original packaging. I may well buy a Quest 3 but not until a price drop. It's just not worth it to me at its current price,...,

So I dunno if anyone noticed(because I didn't) there is now a setting on the Quest 2 that lets it "wake up and update itself" Well darned if I didn't start hearing USB noises and trying to figure out what they were. I have a very expensive Wheel/Shifter/Playseat rig that is plugged in alot of the time(its just really comfortable for my bad back) and I play ALOT of ATS/ETS I initially was stumped then worried I may have broken a wire in my rig and it was shorting. BUT I finally caught it today because my Quest 2 is always on the cable and I am usually running speakers it was just it "waking up and checking" and going back to sleep.
Now that I know and mystery solved I do think it is a handy setting because it was always annoying turning it on checking for an update then waiting 10min or so for it do it. Now it's just doing it on it's own.

Perhaps but there are some things I personally wouldn’t want to buy on the used market. Anything personal that frequently touches the skin I might have to give a miss (fair point that one can simply buy a new VR facial interface or cover). Also if it has delicate components that are easily damaged like lenses (cameras, binoculars, VR HMDs ect.).

For me it sounds a great deal ? Make sure to turn off ASW everytime :D and try to use OpenXR for anything you can :)
