hello, I am looking to build a low profile server using any old hardware i can find for cheap. the most im looking to spend on this server for the cpu/mobo/ram is $30
I know i wont find a good 939 rig for that much but i dont need 939 or even a P4.
I'm looking for something like a K6 or something along those lines. (AMD 1800+ for example) along with any cheap compatible board with ram to go with it (im thinking ddr 2100?)
Can this be done. I really dont have much to spend, if anyone can help me out here id really appreciate it, i can MAYBE go with $40 but thats the MAX! and even then, id have to do some forum shopping until i say yes.
Remember, this will just be a server or cheap computer to have around the house, nothing big, would like something with integrated graphics but thats not necessary, i could look for a cheap pci card later on.
