I would like to suggest cb R15 as a relatively long duration, multicore load, superpi 1m as a short duration single core, and either the aforementioned AIDA or wprime for a more memory focused run.

Might be easiest to just stick to hwbot submission rules? Then we can have a spreadsheet with scores and links.

I'll probably have to wait until Friday to do set up and run it.

I dusted off the Maximus Formula and QX6850. Just selecting some DDR2 and I'm ready for this battle to commence.

Figured I would bring it up here... you cannot take a moderator roll, and you cannot remove posts. So you may want to remove that. Also not so sure the moderators want to play middle man when you claim they are cheating to remove them for you if you planned on reporting them.

But he should be allowed to remove invalid scores from the results list? Why would that be taking a moderators roll?

Read the post as written. He says he will take a moderator roll and removal of posts, not exclusion from the charts or outright ignoring the submission.

Let’s establish some ground rules…
  • All benchmark runs need to have a valid screenshot to prove the run(s) (see below);
  • No CPUs newer than LGA775 and AM3/AM3+ Phenom II to be used.
  • Cheaters will be removed from our friendly competition!

I guess its this part about removing cheaters. I interpreted that in a different way, as in just removing them from our 'official' results list. You are right ofc, we can not take a mod roll and remove posts / take actions against members.

I didn’t mean that they’d be removed from the forums. Jeez. I meant that their results would be removed from the list(s). That’s all I can do as a regular member, and that’s all I intend to do.

I’ll change that.

As someone who ran many an OC thread back in the day here, I would simply suggest the obvious. Verify any result before adding to the charts, as HWBot would. If I ever found something odd, they had to show proof of concept, or they posted for giggles without any placement.

EDIT: not sure what the goal is for the thread, but I also required time stamps in submissions if current OC is the thing, rather than just keeping tabs on what was possible over the lifespan of LGA775/AMwhatever you are allowing.

I've been playing around with my old LGA 1156 (i7-870) Rig and will be posting my OC results even though they aren't eligible for the competition.
