Pissing away money is what many people do here all day by over-expensing on computer stuff instead of investing :p

true but 2500k is LESS then a 1100T and beats it in 99% of apps games and just about everything you do and it dosent win by a small margin it tends to kick its ass repeatedly and im pro AMD myself, but even i cant deny that Phenom II line just cant cut it anymore

even when it comes to 3D rendering which dosent really care about architecture and just loves more cores a Phenom II x6 still cant keep up and that holds true in
Blender
Maya
3Ds Max
XSI
etc etc and in almost every other test it loses as well and it costs more. Dont expect ppl on a tech forum to recommend the lesser performing more power hungry CPU, when a faster lower power cheaper alternative exists.

Phenom II wins 4 out of 36 benches and in the 4 it wins 2 of them are the 2nd leg of a 2 part bench when taken into context with the entire bench means it reaches parity. this means Phenom II only really wins 2 bench marks to its name, overclocks less, 4ghz vs 4.5 average of the 2500k now im not bashing the 1100T its a good CPU, but if your gonna go X6 just buy a fucking 1055T and overclock the damn thing otherwise your pissing away money for nothing gained.

I can 100% vouch for this coming from a 1090T @4GHz to an i5 2500k. Golden Showers all around.

Stop being a fanboy and man up. Why should you hate Intel anyway, its not like they have killed your dog or something.

Pointless to construct a rig now then, I doubt anyone will listen to my "1 year ago advice", it involves 1156 and other stale parts.

Oh so mister sorry that you have wasted of youre "precious" time in your so busy life.
If your time was so important then you wouldn't be here on TechPowerUp answering posts and you would be somewhere else using your precious time doing something important for the society :D

To be fair, near future for the guys here is like time-line is upto a couple of months maximum. There is no point asking advice for something you'll do in a year because all the information we give you regarding prices, GPU and CPU selection will be old and out of date and hence we will be doing you a big disservice.

I'd say create another thread when you are ready to upgrade.

To be fair just dont answer if you are not sure :) At the same time i told i could buy used stuff to save money so in fact if someone took time to think a little more then you would have tought about that one. For someone who have a life outside this forum and computers a one year old computer part is not that old and just OK to save money by buying it from freaks who always need more and more. :D

That post is ambiguous, not near future as in 1-2 month's time? or as in a years time? Or perhaps 6 month's time? For the majority of TPU, if you said that car repairs come first, it means that you are planning to do your upgrade in about 1-2month's time, in which case our opinions will still be relevant. However, its completely junk in 6 month's time.

Don't push it, TPU is generally a nice place, but when arguments occur, it gets extremely ugly. Don't tell me you have not been warned.

I don't particularly mind people wasting my time in TPU (I come here to waste time anyway), but I do feel insulted when you choose to mock me AFTER I come in to help and made my disappointment heard.

Edit: Would be nice for you to obey the rules of the forum and edit your post rather than doubleposting.
