Ok guys time to upgrade my system.
Im thinking of replacing my current rigs parts with the parts bellow.
Core 2 Quad 6600
Gigabyte P35-DQ6

These 2 are defacto....However i also want to get faster memories and i cant decide which of the 3 sets bellow...And thats where i need your opinions.
I could get the 2GB Sets bellow which are blazing fast.

OCZ 2GB Kit DDR2 1150 Reaper HPC

Corsair Dominator 2GB Kit DDR2 1066 5-5-5-15

OR 4GBs of the Ram bellow...

Corsair XMS2 4GB Kit DDR2 800 5-5-5-12

Which one guys ?

I say go with the Reapers, they are confirmed D9s. Corsair stopped using D9s in many of their kits.

Alternatively, look at any G.Skill set that ends in HZ, or any Crucial Ballistix or Tracers.

My PC6400 Ballistix do 1200MHz 5-5-5-15

The only ballistic i can find are the 1066 set at 5-5-5-12 but they are priced the same as the Reaper and the Dominator.

Too soon to tell. I would wait to see what it could do tho. It's only a couple weeks away.

I hoping it's a kick ass chipset, I kinda want one, to make the move to Intel (again, only this time I plan to NOT fry it. ). Could even go Crossfire down the road.

Well the only real difference between the P35 and the X38 is that the second supports 2xPCIEXPRESS x16lanes each....I can Pre-order it but it could take long to get here.
On the other hand i aint interested in Crossfire so will the X38 as a standalone chipset have better performance than the P35 ?

That's the part you'll have to wait and see about. Rumor has it that Asus's board will launch in 2 weeks or so, so maybe we'll see some benches then.

If you're too impatient to wait, the P35 is a proven performer.
