For creators and professionals, the NS-16 and NS-17 offer desktop-like performance on a workstation they can bring anywhere. Featuring the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series mobile graphics cards, users can experience firsthand what the next generation of technology holds through a customizable ORIGIN PC.

Meet the future of portable performance with the EON17-X and and NS-17, ORIGIN PC's strongest laptops ever designed. Compared to its predecessor, the new EON17-X is 13% lighter and 42% thinner. In spite of its thin 0.98 inch form factor, expect nothing less than record-breaking strength from the upgraded system. Truly the pinnacle of gaming speed and power, it can be customized with up to the flagship NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card as well as a powerful Intel Core i9-13900HX processor. Both laptops offer a 17.3" display with the options to choose from either a 240 Hz QHD display or 144 Hz UHD display, based on personal preference and needs.

Professionals can access a top-of-the-line workstation in the NS-17, enabling them to finish the job under any circumstance. Working from home, or professions that require frequent traveling can make the most out of a high-end system they can bring anywhere. Get up to 24 TB of storage, allowing gamers and professionals to save whatever files, games, and softwares they desire. Regarding performance, customize with up to 64 GB of DDR5 memory to ensure there are no slowdowns even when running resource intensive programs or games at the same time. In addition, connect up to 4 additional displays, allowing for multi-tasking and the ability to simultaneously see several games or projects. For even more connectivity, both the EON17-X and NS-17 include support for USB Type-A, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort, Ethernet 2.5, WiFi 6, and more.

System Name Bragging Rights

Motherboard It has no markings but it's green
Cooling No, it's a 2.2W processor
Memory 2GB DDR3L-1333
Video Card(s) Gen7 Intel HD (4EU @ 311MHz)
Storage 32GB eMMC and 128GB Sandisk Extreme U3
Display(s) 10" IPS 1280x800 60Hz

Audio Device(s) Apparently, yes
Power Supply Samsung 18W 5V fast-charger
Mouse MX Anywhere 2
Keyboard Logitech MX Keys (not Cherry MX at all)
VR HMD Samsung Oddyssey, not that I'd plug it into this though....
Software W10 21H1, barely
Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
I don't understand why they insist on making these thin.

The single limiting factor for these high-end laptops is cooling and it's not like they're ever going to be highly portable with their 30-minute gaming runtimes and 2kg power brick bricks at least twice as thick as the laptop.

But no, let's make it thin so that the keyboard travel is rubbish, the cooling is inadequate and noisy, and the excessively-expensive GPU is kneecapped!

IMO, if I'm buying a 4090 laptop the first thing I'm checking is that the cooling can handle the 4090 without any kind of thermal throttling whatsoever, and it needs to do so without sounding like someone is vacuuming in the same room as me.

edit:
Power bricks, plural. /smh
