In preparation for the upcoming remastered version of StarCraft: Brood War, which is scheduled for this summer, Blizzard has made the original versions of StarCraft and its expansion free. Totally free. On both PC and Mac. There’s no catch.

I never tried it on 10. Are you running it in compatibility mode by any chance? Just curious if it is plug and play and figured this question will come up soon anyway.

I remember with Windows 7, I had issues with the colors being horrendous. Someone recommended ending Explorer.exe before launching and it would fix it. It did so I made a batch file that killed explorer process and then opened starcraft. I have since been on Windows 10 and lost the batch file, but hopefully this info helps the users reading it who are still on Windows 7.

If they ever decided to remaster diablo 2 and lord of destruction expansion, all hell would break loose :laugh:
