Overclock Feedback and Advice

Ok not being happy with my current systems speed I decided to try and unlock the 4th core......again. However this time I had some more success. Now I have a new dilemma and I want TPUs feedback on which is a better configuration for my needs. Basically I use my rig for two main tasks. Photoshop and gaming.

Both configurations run 100% stable for 1 hour in OCCT.
Here are the contenders.

1. PII 720 @ 3.45Ghz with 1.44v (3 cores)
FSB 230; RAM at 990Mhz

2. 1. PII 720 @ 3.36Ghz with 1.44v (4 cores)
FSB 210; RAM at 840Mhz

for games i think its better the 3 core config but i dont know. ask someone that knows about amd's

Definitely go for the quadcore config. Ram speed and .1ghz won't make any difference in game or overall performance.

its a tough choice, but i say 4 cores.

The thing is I can set the RAM to 1066 and run it stable with OCCT however when I run 3DMark06 it goes crazy with all kinds of colors on the screen. I end up having to abort.

might be northbridge related? try upping some voltages.

Thats what I thought too. I upped it to 2.0 but still no luck. Its funny because when I have everything at default and I up the ram to 1066 everything is fine. However if I touch anything else I get the same error. :shadedshu
