Okay, before I bought lappie in system specs I had read a lot about them and I heard many people say that it is just not possible to overclock the CPU. In fact it's true - there are no bios options.
They say it isn't possible to overclock through software either, but I don't know about that - I've never overclocked any pc with software only through the bios.
It isn't indispensible to overclock, I mean I get good enough performance. But I would like to know if any possibility exists.. (plus I love benchmarking)
Can the bios be unlocked?
Maybe another D901 bios flashed in?
I've heard that people did OC the Q6600 on an identical laptop, but it was through a pin mod. However I'm not confident enough to try that... and I don't have a Q6600 but a Q9450.
The CPU runs stock at 2.66Ghz. I'd be happy if I get it even to 3.0Ghz (less than 400Mhz oc) , as long as I have oc'd I'd be happy.
