Anyone tried this or have any idea of what it should be capable of?

x5900? You mean 5900X?
For benchmark i overclocked the CPU to 4.75GHz with 1.375V. But for day to day use i have it undervolted to 1.2V and 4.3GHz.

Yes, I have updated the title, thanks for the info. So you feel its probably pulling too much heat from the VRMs to comfortably drive at 4.75? Or just for efficiency? Do you also use PBO with the lower frequency? What are you thoughts.

"600 amps is more ams that you will ever need to overclock any CPU that includes a 16 core"

Really, really not worth overcloking this CPU. RAM overcloking is king for gaining extra ZEN performance in games. And according to Gamers nexus the best combo is 2X 16GB. This gives best gain according to them.

Yes overclocking ram increases FPS in games, certainly. Productivity and encoding times though can benefit from an overclock however, which is my main concern.

For $144.99 CAD / $111.56 USD i picked up 32 gigs of ripjaws 3600 16-19-19-19 (kept those numbers and better with 1usmus an managed to get 3800 out of them, and probably 4000 with the 5000 series, time will tell.
