I have the motherboard, which is working good with amd rx560 4gb, rx580 8gb, but refuses to recognize and use nvidia's 1050ti. Where is the problem?

Asus' socket 1366 motherboards and apparently socket 775 as well, has severe compatibility issues. On their 1366s, plugging in an Radeon RX, causes the issue where after turned off and unplugged, for example, because of a storm, it will then lose the drive configuration settings and all other settings then prompt you to restore defaults, after you turn it on again.

It's possible that with such motherboards, that the latest card that you can use, would be the following:

Nvidia: GeForce GTX 980/980Ti

AMD: Radeon R9 series.

Unfortunately we've reached a point in advancement where newer parts arent always compatible with older parts because of compatibility between the motherboards bios and the bios that is on the graphics card.

The motherboard, being the old school style bios might require an older card or a card with a LEGACY BIOS to make the system work and vice versa. Newer GPUs might not like older motherboards because older boards dont support UEFI.

Both AMD and Nvidia did make cards that had legacy bioses but i think they've stopped doing that now because everyone should be on the new platform by now.

That is how the cookie crumbles unfortunately.

The pre-UEFI AMI BIOS on Asus socket 1366 motherboards don't like it when I have a Radeon RX series plugged in, apparently.

I think it really just depends on what card you get.
My EVGA GTX 1050 2GB FTW works fine in my P5Q3 Deluxe & D5400XS but it's a non-reference card so that may be why.

It's strange that all cards are made by msi, 1050ti is the oldest. While I am connecting it through riser - there is no new display adapter. Getting video from it is also useless...

pascal was an amazing architecture. Thats why a lot of people are still rolling with 1070s and 1080s
