parental control software

Hi guys, I saw simillar topics but they were from 2011 and 2010. I'm looking for easy to use and reliable software that will be able to set up control over the Internet traffic on my home PC, filtering the e mail box and making reports about the activity. It doesn't has to be free, just reliable and worth its price.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions !

There are dozens of such programs in the net, so you are free to chose, depending on the age of a child or on the seriousness of control, e.g. parental controls KidsWatch or Time Boss Pro ...
Additionally you get remote access to kids PC, forced breaks, limitation internet sites by time and others.

I use K9 on my kids' laptop. It's quite good, very restrictive at first, but it doesn't take long to set up correctly.

I don't think it does any sort of monitoring or reporting, I haven't used it for anything other than restricting access though.

+2 to K9!! a remarkable and very effective program! IIRC it keeps statistics on unauthorized access attempts, so you can know whether someone was trying to go to sites they shouldn't.

Unless you do the filtering at the router, you will need separate solutions for any tablets, smart phones, etc. that are connected to your wifi. I just have my router configured to use OpenDNS.
