Patriot ddr3 compatibility issues Gigabyte GA-EX58

Is anyone having compatibility issue with Patriot ddr3 (Patriot PC3-12800 3x2GB DDR3 PVT36G1600LLK ) to be exact and the Gigabyte GA-EX58 extreme motherboard?

I heard Crucials ddr3 (the cheap ones... the D9JNL chips) are incompatible with x58 GB boards... heard you gotta install some driver... maybe it's the same chip?
