Not bad, but pricing on old continent have to come way down. MX500 costs the same and is way superior in every way(DRAM, Warranty, Speed etc.).

If you are still about that 2.5" SATA life style, I'd still go with an MX500 at 1TB for now, unless the prices comes down (Germany). The BX500 is 15€ cheaper. At 2TB you can save a bit with the P200 vs the MX500. But I'd still take the DRAM SSD.
And if you are ready to move on and have M.2 NVME slots, I'd recommend a 660p as a good entry for 1TB or 2TB SSDs. I haven't read any horror stories about QLC as it was with planar TLC back when. And the 660p in bursty (aka consumer) workloads is quite a lot faster than SATA. 1TB for 100€ is quite something. I remember buying my Samsung 840 TLC (yeah, that one...) at 500GB for 280€ and it being a steal. Same with the 1TB 960 Evo for 300€. At the time those were the cheapest options in the category for the formfactor.

Not really true. SSDs have tons of additional space, not visible to user. Along with GB->GiB conversion "loss", there is also tons of reserved blocks on the flash die itself.

If you can find MX500 at the same price, do go for MX500. I checked priced yday and MX500 is more expensive, at least in the US.

Rather go for SX8200 Pro, not much more expensive and MUCH better.

German pricing is as follows (said the region in my post):
660p 1TB ~99€ vs 136€ SX8200 Pro 1TB
660p 2TB ~198€ vs 259€ SX8200 Pro 2TB
For me, that would qualify as much more expensive and not as much better in consumer day to day use. Unless you run out of SLC cache constantly, which would not be consumer use in my mind.
Your own numbers show them being within the margin of error in most real world tests with some 10% wins for the SX8200 Pro. That doesn't square with your rhetoric.

I'd love to get a 2 TB SSD, but this one looks as expensive as other, better options at that price. I'm also wary of buying large SSDs because the last time I got an SSD, it was a 500 GB 860 Evo about two years ago for $160. If I knew I could get a 1 TB for less a year later, and now nearly a 2 TB for that price, I would have waited. I want to get this 4 TB spinning rust out of my system but in reality it's not much of a rush.

Weird. MX500 is around $130-135 in Ukraine (given that most of the stuff goes through EU with consequential taxes), but Patriot drives were always much cheaper.
Just browsed through my store and found out that they've silently released an even cheaper QLC version of their Burst series SSDs. Same SATA speeds, probably same random (older 3D TLC variant had 32MB cache, so I assume this one has as well), and bad-ass price/performance ratio.

MX500 is about $150 CAD here. The best option for us with DRAM Cache is SU800 Adata 1TB which is about 10 dollars cheaper. If there is a cheaper dram cache SSD, I would like to know.

Weird, my test of this drive looks totally different if writing high amount of data in a row

Looks also like it uses the whole NAND for SLC-caching and if it is full it started to copy the data to the 2nd and 3rd Bit of the NAND

Now I take care of Patriot-SSDs. While the P200 2TB had a good result in a review of german c´t magazine my exemplar shows a very weak performance, it looks like Patriot changed something in the P200.

At another hardware-test-page someone posted their P210 shows up the name P200, dunno what Patriot actually do
