Not a bad deal at all. I've used lots of Patriot RAM and have really liked it. Every kit I have gotten has worked flawlessly.

Think that maybe the DOA sticks were because of stuff like this.

Ram would be pretty resilient to drops, and when it isn't the huge crack/dent down the middle should be pretty obvious. Those bad reviews aren't on most memory sticks so I'd be hesitant to buy those.

hesitant with egg nooo. not like them send them back and they will pay the postage if ya nudge them..

Patriot have good Tech support too from my own experiences.
Hate reviews on ram on newegg most just don't get the voltage right or just plainly know shit about what there doing.
