Single player is pretty much useless. The first level isn't even completable with AI because I keep getting tased in the last area. The AI players can't go through the blown hole in the wall so it is effectively game over every time.

I concur. If you have no intention to play with other people, stay away. The AI is too stupid (does nothing except shoot and heal).
