Paying through Paypal

Recently both of my credit cards got blocked by my bank because I purchased game keys on unauthorized websites like cdkeys.com and G2A.com. I would like to ask if creating a paypal account and paying on such sites with Paypal will keep my credit cards away from being blocked?

I think the credit card company did not like the fact that those 2 companies are based overseas.

Or maybe because he bought on unauthorised Websites and the credit card company didn't like that.

It should Cover it op, on my bank history it says "Paypal *"PAYPALUSERNAME" so the payment is to Paypal, so if Paypal is authorized in your bank there should be no problem.

Ok thanks. They have no problem with Paypal. I think they had problem with me giving all my credit cards info directly to those companies.

I ONLY use Paypal when I use those sites(I use G2play or Kinguin)My card/bank account is directly linked to my Paypal so that is my "safety barrier" if anything goes wrong. Heck I can't actually remember the last time I didn't use Paypal, even use it on Steam.

I use Paypal for just about everything except a very limited selected few trusted sellers. It reduces the chances of exposing your account numbers and other data that can be used to steal your identity.

Your Credit Card is actually safer than paypal. But they are pickier

Most credit cards have buyer protection. So they not only will return money on fraudulent transaction but will cover warranty on products when the manufacture denies it

I do this when I buy anything when a website is based overseas with my business debit card.

When I need to buy something, I transfer just enough money from account B (all money stored here, and no debit card attached) to account A that has debit card attached. If the business debit card is used by someone other than me, it will get denied every time since there is no money in that account.

I told this is trick to some of the bank tellers at Navy Federal credit union and they have passed it on to some of their business customers.

It's because the The purchases were made overseas. Creating PayPal can help in making purchases but your best bet would be to link a prepaid debit card to the PayPal unless you foresee having to accept payments. If you're just buying then do what I mentioned above

When you go to make a purchase the linked prepaid card will have the proper amount withdrawn and it will never show a balance in your PayPal it'll always be zero. It will have no effect on credit
You just have to make sure to keep the prepaid debit card loaded with cash to fit your needs, this method is also a fantastic way to stick to a budget
