Paypal Dispute

I opened a dispute last week but i thought the problem was going to be resolved so I closed it(VERY DUMB OF ME) now I still have not received an item I payed for. Is there anything I can do from here sinec I can't open an Item Dispute twice on the same transaction? What are the chances I can get my money back if I contact Paypal directly?
 
if the payment was to paypal via credit card, you can always go to them and ask for a chargeback, but let paypal have the first crach at it. Call them (paypal) as long as you own the account, they are pretty informative and helpful.
 
it was not through credit card, it was Instant Payment from Bank Account
 
Call paypal and explain what had happened. They do have the ability to do as they wish, like to help re-open your original complaint;)
 
Alright cool, man this month I just have the worst luck. This is a transaction between a member from OCN(very top notch guy) that I thought was going to be smooth. I will call them right now.
 
Unfortunately, since sheetBay owns paypal, their priority is protection of eBay transactions. I don't know how they work with deals outside of that sphere.

They have always been able to sort it out for me over the phone. Even if they couldnt satisfy my immediate needs, they offered a very understandable reasoning as to why;)
 
The nice lady said a courtesy of her, she will re-open the dispute :)

Contact your bank! One time I had an issue like this and my bank completely took care of it for me. :toast:
 
HURRAY, now the dispute is re-opened and escalated! The jerk has until Jul 5 to respond then I get's my money back !

This is why i like paypal. even tho its a hassle, you can give them a polite phone call and they will hook you up. This also goes along the lines of paypals gift option. I NEVER use it unless i have done countless transactions with the person im sending it to. i would rather use the only paypal fee calculator and give the seller extra money to be protected.

Yep, a lot of people think that only a credit card company will fight for you—on more than one occasion, two separate institutions I bank with (Wells Fargo and a smaller local bank) have proven just as dedicated and effective in getting my money back from "bad" sellers.

it definitely pays to be a platinum member of a CC company. they will do everything to help you resolve these disputes and most of them hate paypal so they will bitch them out :laugh:
